If you want to see just how out to lunch some of these government-funded global warming outfits are, take a look at this, from the UK Met Office.
The UK is at the forefront of tackling dangerous climate change, underpinned by world-class scientific expertise and advice.
It is hardly dangerous, it isn't happening at all (at least not the last 10 years) and if it is happening, there is nothing much we can do about it except adjust.
Crucial decisions will be taken soon in Copenhagen about limiting and reducing the impacts of climate change, now and in the future.
Maybe or maybe not. I hope not. What is actually being decided in that cowpat of a city is how much cost to load on to the world economy to pursue technology which is not yet mature, impose taxes which are not required and make the life of each country's citizens more awful. Everything else is just supposition.
Climate scientists from the UK and across the world are in overwhelming agreement about the evidence of climate change, driven by the human input of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
To the extent that this is true (and it isn't) it is because their funding depends on it and they haven't considered the impact of the big bright thing in the picture on the same page as this statement. If the inclusion of this image on the Met Office's web page is the first step along the road of admitting that changing Sun emissions are behind global warming then I have this to say:
Out with it, Met Office! Enough hinting and just tell us.
