The Standard has a way with graphs. The one above supposedly shows that crime is down, or at least that red crime is down a lot which compensates for blue crime.

Of course I'm thrilled that murders are down from 100 to 90. I'm not so happy that domestic violence is up from 18,000 to 28,000. Let's not try to obscure the real picture.
